| Hi. I'm Matt. To
the right are pictures of my 1999 Honda 300 4x4 at
different stages in it's life. It all started out as a
pretty red stock 300. My first mod to go on was a Warn
2500lb ATV Winch. It pulled me out of some of the worst
holes I could get in while my 300 was still almost stock.
Then my second mod to go on was a set of 24x9-11 and
25x12-11 Vampire tires. After the addition of these tires
I was able to go places I never thought my little 300
could go. I then added a front and rear lift kit from
Highlifter. It raised my atv even more and helped me get
through more holes than ever before. I liked this setup
alot, but I wanted to be able to go deeper in water. I
then built my own air intake snorkle system modeled after
some of the ones I saw Highlifter running. I then when to
a local muffler shop and got my exhaust extended up above
my rear rack. As you can see I had a very nice setup for
the kind of riding I planned to do. I really like it
until I destroyed my rear end differential one day while
out riding through some mud pits. This wasn't a cheap
fix, and that stopped me from being so rough on it. I
have since, sold my lift kit, and got some new tires, look below to see my current modifications. That is just a little bit of the
history of my honda 300. Look to the right to see it at
different stages in it's life. Enjoy.
Matt finally got the Highlifter 355cc big bore kit installed. He resleeved the cylinder got a much larger piston (83mm) and installed a 459 grind web cam. This thing is really a monster now. Matt also built a 6ft tall snorkle so that Erf could not go deeper than him. Matt will have new pics soon of him going deep and spinning the crap out of my 26.9.5 vamps. Matt will get an HP kit in a month or so and then some 28x12.5-12 outlaws on all 4 corners sometime in the future. Check back soon for new pics. |
